The Jesmonite AC100 Powder Base + Acrylic Liquid Kit comes with everything you need to create a strong, lightweight and highly detailed acrylic composite material for decorative, artistic and architectural applications. This eco-friendly, water-based and solvent-free system is supplied in two parts (AC100 Base Powder and AC100 Acrylic Liquid) which combine to form a versatile casting and laminating material trusted by professionals and hobbyists alike.
Ideal for capturing exceptionally fine detail, Jesmonite AC100 is widely used for decorative mouldings, glass reinforced laminates, sculptures, bas-reliefs and bespoke design features. Its safe, low-odour formulation has made it particularly popular within the crafting community, while its strength and durability make it equally suited to architectural and construction-based projects.
Jesmonite AC100 has been embraced by artists, sculptors and makers producing three-dimensional artworks and decorative elements. Its smooth consistency allows for excellent mould reproduction, ensuring crisp edges and refined surface detail. Even those new to casting can achieve striking, professional-looking results thanks to its user-friendly mixing and fast curing properties.
In architectural settings, AC100 is commonly used to produce columns, cornices, coving, mouldings, wall panels and cladding features. The material’s fast curing time, UV stability and fire-rated certification make it suitable for interior design projects requiring both performance and aesthetic appeal.
Mixing & Application:
Jesmonite AC100 is mixed by weight at a ratio of 2.5 parts Base Powder to 1 part Liquid. For best results, gradually add the powder to the liquid while stirring continuously to achieve a smooth, lump-free consistency. Small batches can be mixed by hand using a wooden or plastic stirrer. For larger quantities and optimal consistency, the use of High Shear Jesmonite Mixing Blades is recommended.
Colouring & Custom Finishes:
Jesmonite Pigments can be added to the liquid before mixing or to the combined material. Pigment loading should not exceed 2% of the total mixed weight. Highly concentrated pigments mean only a small amount is required to achieve vibrant, consistent colours.
Working & Curing Times:
If extended working time is required, Jesmonite Retarder can be added to slow the setting process.
