Jesmonite AC100 Liquid is an ECO friendly and versatile water-based, solvent free composite material, ideally suited to the creation of decorative mouldings, glass reinforced laminates and a wide range of crafting projects. It is an acrylic composite supplied in two parts, a powder base and an acrylic liquid.
When combined, the result is an extremely versatile, strong and capable crafting and construction material. The mixing ratio of the Jesmonite is mixed by weight, at a ratio of 2.5 Parts AC100 Base Powder to 1 Part AC100 Liquid. This material is ideal for crafting, casting, and mould - making, in both decorative and functional applications.
It is recommended that the base powder is added to the liquid whilst stirring continuously. In very small quantities this can be done with a wooden or plastic stirrer.
For the best results always use the High Shear Jesmonite Mixing Blades. Jesmonite Pigments can be added to the AC100 Liquid Prior to mixing, or to the mixed base and liquid at no more than 2% Pigment to the Mixed AC100 by weight. A little pigment goes a very long way, so you do not need a great deal of pigment to create your desired colour!
Working and demoulding times once mixed thoroughly you have a working time of 5 - 10 minutes. This time can be extended if you require a longer working time by adding the Jesmonite Retarder. You can demould your AC100 after 20 - 30 minutes.
It never hurts to allow it a little longer if you have the time and patience. AC100 will gain its maximum cured strength after 24 hours. The Jesmonite AC100 Liquid is an incredibly versatile product, allowing users to create and craft lightweight detailed objects, for a wide range of applications
