Description

Jesmonite Acrylic Sealer is a durable, pure acrylic coating designed to protect and enhance Jesmonite casts while preserving their natural, matte finish. Fully compatible with Jesmonite AC100, AC200 and AC300, it’s an excellent choice for crafters who want a reliable sealer that’s flexible, hardwearing and simple to apply by brush, roller or spray.

Used with Jesmonite AC100, this sealer provides increased water resistance, making it particularly useful when your finished piece will be displayed outdoors or exposed to moisture. It can also be tinted and thinned to create creative surface effects. Use it as a colour wash with Jesmonite Liquid Pigments to add a subtle patina, highlight texture, or artificially age decorative casts for a beautifully timeworn look.

For best results on low-porosity surfaces such as AC100, apply two coats. The first coat should be diluted with 10–20% water to support the bonding process. Apply the second coat once the first is touch dry and don’t let the first coat dry completely before recoating. Several thin coats will always give a more even, controlled finish than one thick coat. This sealer also goes a long way, so it's best to work in small amounts and avoid over-application.

To maintain optimal performance, sealed items may require re-coating every 6 to 10 years, depending on exposure and wear. Please note: when used with AC200 and AC300, you won’t achieve the same level of external protection as you do with AC100.

Hello, No unfortunately you cannot mix the AC100 Jesmonite with water. It needs to be mixed with the AC100 Liquid - https://www.fslplymouth.co.uk/jesmonite-ac100/jesmonite-ac100-liquid/?qrso=ac100 Thank you
