Description

Essential General Purpose Polyester Resin is a versatile orthophthalic polyester resin that's suitable for laying up, laminating, composite repairs, and a wide range of other composite applications. Supplied in white, it delivers a neat, professional appearance, and works perfectly as a cost-effective solution for general fibreglass projects.

This general-purpose resin is widely used across industries for everything from routine maintenance to larger structural applications. Its competitive price point makes it a practical choice for professionals and DIY users alike, without compromising on quality or strength. With low styrene emissions, it provides a safer, cleaner working environment while maintaining excellent performance and reliability.

For best results, add 1–2% catalyst and mix thoroughly. At normal workshop temperatures of 15–20°C, the resin achieves an approximate 30-minute pot life, giving a practical working window for application. I use this for laying up fibreglass molds it has a great adhesion and works well with all size CSM, and even woven roving, it’s cheaper than clear poly resin, so I love it!
