Jesmonite AC100 Water-Based Acrylic Casting Liquid is a high-performance, eco-friendly and completely solvent-free crafting component designed for use with Jesmonite AC100 Base Powder to create a strong, lightweight acrylic composite. Ideal for makers, artists, designers and professional fabricators, this versatile liquid delivers outstanding surface detail, reliable performance and excellent mould reproduction across a wide range of casting and laminating applications.
Formulated as part of the widely used Jesmonite AC100 system, this water-based and completely solvent-free liquid provides a safer, low-odour alternative to traditional resin systems. When mixed correctly, it produces a smooth, free-flowing material capable of capturing fine detail, making it perfect for decorative mouldings, glass-reinforced laminates, prop making, sculptures and interior design features.
Easy Application:
Jesmonite AC100 Liquid is simple to use, whether you are new to casting or an experienced fabricator. The recommended mix ratio is 2.5 parts AC100 Base Powder to 1 part AC100 Liquid by weight, creating a durable composite that balances strength with a lightweight finish.
For best results, gradually add the base powder to the liquid while stirring continuously. Smaller batches can be mixed by hand, while larger volumes benefit from high-shear Jesmonite mixing blades to ensure a smooth, lump-free consistency.
The system offers a working time of approximately 5-10 minutes, allowing efficient production without long delays. Demoulding is typically possible after 20-30 minutes, with full cured strength achieved after 24 hours.
Colour Control & Pigment Compatibility:
Jesmonite pigments can be added directly to the liquid before combining, or to the mixed material, using up to 2% pigment by weight. This enables precise colour control while maintaining optimal performance. If extended working time is required, Jesmonite Retarder can be incorporated to slow the setting process.
Lightweight yet highly durable, AC100 is suitable for intricate decorative pieces as well as functional components requiring strength and stability.
Jesmonite AC100 Liquid is only the liquid component of the Jesmonite AC100 system. It is ideal for anyone looking to produce high-quality, lightweight and detailed objects, making it a trusted solution for crafts, creative projects and professional applications alike.
