Description

Fibreglass Supplies Premium Liquid Dipping Latex Rubber is a high-quality natural latex compound specifically formulated for mould-making and a wide range of arts and crafting applications. With a high 60% rubber content, it delivers excellent strength, flexibility and durability, making it ideal for projects that require repeated dipping or layered build-up.

This versatile liquid latex offers outstanding detail reproduction with minimal shrinkage, ensuring accurate results even on complex shapes. It can be applied by dipping or brushing, allowing full control over thickness and coverage. The material bonds effectively to a wide variety of surfaces, including wood, concrete, metal, composite materials, plaster and skin, making it suitable for everything from mould making and props to special effects and creative crafts.

FSL Premium Liquid Dipping Latex Rubber is designed to be built up in multiple layers, with 8 to 20 dips or brush coats recommended for optimal strength and durability. For larger or more intricate moulds, creating a rigid external support shell - typically from fibreglass - can help maintain shape and stability during use. This support is usually formed before demoulding and may consist of multiple sections depending on the complexity of the original master.

As a single-part, air-curing product, FSL Premium Liquid Dipping Latex Rubber Compound is easy to use with no mixing required. Cure times vary depending on ambient conditions, but the fast-drying formulation allows efficient layering and smooth workflow. For best results, a test piece is recommended before starting critical or large-scale projects.

Could you tell me what the approximate coverage would be please ? May Thank Jon
Hi John. The usage is dependant on the surface being coated and whether it is sealed first of not. On sealed ply wood the coverage will be approx 400grm per metre square. Hope this helps
Hi Just bought some of this. There didn’t seem to be any mixing instructions though if you can let me know what they are and any advice on application. Thanks Keith F
Hello Keith. Gelcoat filler is subjective because under normal condition with polyester resin you would apply 20ml per 1kg. But this product is used in very small quantities (5grm at a time) so a small dribble of catalyst would need to be used. Hope this helps.
