West System Epoxys G/5 Five-Minute Adhesive is a simple to use resin + hardener, mixed 1:1 that will cure rapidly for fast repairs, tooling and general bonding jobs. Designed to bond to fiberglass, wood, plastics, metal, ceramics, leather, and more, this fast-curing epoxy adhesive is ideal for a wide range of home repairs, woodworking, marine and gap bridging work.
Unlike many standard epoxies that can take many hours to cure, G/5 is specifically formulated as a fast-setting epoxy adhesive for quick repairs and spot bonding applications to hold parts in position while other epoxy systems cure. This system is simple with its 1:1 mix ratio by volume and can also be modified with West System Fillers.
Designed to bond to: Wood fibre, ceramic, leather, plaster, fiberglass, a variety of metals, stone, glass, cork, some plastics & paper.
Project uses: Home repairs, marine, bonding, wood joints, woodworking & bridging gaps.
You can also add colour by adding wood sanding dust, powdered chalk line chalk, powdered paints or small amounts of acrylic paint pigments (no more than 5%) and lettering enamel. Add colour additives quickly while stirring the epoxy so you have time left to use the epoxy.
Not recommended for long-term bonds subject to high loads or moisture. Cured G/5 can tolerate getting wet but it is not intended for items that are continuously damp or wet. It will work well on exterior applications as long as long-term wet/damp conditions are avoided.
