Description

Fibreglass Supplies Mica Pigment Powders are premium-quality, finely-milled colourants supplied in convenient 5g bags and available in a vibrant range of 56 stunning colours, including Black, Bronze, Dark Green, Silk Blue, Yellow and more. Highly versatile and intensely pigmented, these mica powders are ideal for adding shimmering colour effects across a wide variety of creative applications, from resin art and casting to cosmetics and craft projects.

Widely used in epoxy and polyester resin, mica pigments disperse easily to create eye-catching pearlescent, metallic and colour-shift finishes. Beyond resin art, they are also suitable for soap making, nail polish, eye shadow, calligraphy and automotive paint applications, making them a favourite choice for artists, makers and formulators alike.

All of our mica pigments are natural, non-toxic, skin safe, vegan and cruelty free, ensuring they are safe to use in cosmetic and personal care applications as well as general craft use. Due to their high concentration, only a very small amount is required to achieve strong colour results, offering excellent value and precise colour control.

For best results in resin projects, pigments should be added gradually to pre-mixed resin in tiny increments. Thorough mixing without introducing air allows you to build colour intensity slowly, from subtle shimmer to rich, vibrant opacity, before pouring into your chosen mould or surface.

Colours Available: Apricot, Big Red, Black, Blue, Blue Green, Bronze, Brown, Brown Red, Chesnut, Claret, Coffee, Copper, Cream, Dark Green, Ginmetal Gold, Golden, Golden Orchard, Gold Green, Gold Puple, Grass Green, Green, Gunmetal, Lagerstroemie, Light Gold, Light Green, Light Pink, Light Purple, Lilack, Magic Blue, Magic Gold, Magic Green, Magic Purple, Magic Red, Mermaid, Moss Green, Olive, Orange, Peach Red, Pink, Purple, Purplish Red, Red Gold, Rose, Rose Gold, Rose Red, Ruby, Shiny Blue, Silk Blue, Silk Purple, Silver Grey, Silver White, Tea Green, Tigerlily, Violet & Yellow.

Could you tell me what the approximate coverage would be please ? May Thank Jon
Hi John. The usage is dependant on the surface being coated and whether it is sealed first of not. On sealed ply wood the coverage will be approx 400grm per metre square. Hope this helps
Hi Just bought some of this. There didn’t seem to be any mixing instructions though if you can let me know what they are and any advice on application. Thanks Keith F
Hello Keith. Gelcoat filler is subjective because under normal condition with polyester resin you would apply 20ml per 1kg. But this product is used in very small quantities (5grm at a time) so a small dribble of catalyst would need to be used. Hope this helps.
