Description

Durable, reliable and designed to provide a layer of fire protection, this Fire-Rated 600g Premium GRP Fibreglass Roofing Kit (10 Square Metres) is a complete package that includes all the highest quality materials and tools you need to complete a Fire-Rated flat roofing project. Suitable for a range of flat roofs, balconies and walkways, extensions and new builds or even replacing existing felt and asphalt roofs.

Supplied with everything needed to cover the area required with 1 layer of 600gm² glass fibre mat and 1 layer of CrysticROOF Fire Rated Topcoat. The special Fire Rated topcoat included is specifically designed to meet British and European fire standards. The CrysticROOF System is Fire Rated and Certification is available on request. Certification is normally needed for Building Control and House Packs when buying and selling property.

Available in a range of different sizes from 1m² - 100m² at Fibreglass Supplies Ltd. A "600g" kit means that the weight of fibreglass matting per square metre is 600g, the heavier the matting the stronger the roof. A roof constructed in 600g matting is strong enough for balconies and walkways, and a 600g fibreglass roof system is also suitable for extensions, new builds and replacing certain types of roof.

Fibreglass is the ideal material for weatherproofing flat roofs laid with plywood, OSB (Oriented Strand Board) or HDF (High Density Fiberboard). The preferred substrate is OSB3 (Oriented Strand Board grade 3), a type of strong, durable, engineered wood panel that's suitable for load-bearing applications in humid conditions.

Could you tell me what the approximate coverage would be please ? May Thank Jon
Hi John. The usage is dependant on the surface being coated and whether it is sealed first of not. On sealed ply wood the coverage will be approx 400grm per metre square. Hope this helps
Hi Just bought some of this. There didn’t seem to be any mixing instructions though if you can let me know what they are and any advice on application. Thanks Keith F
Hello Keith. Gelcoat filler is subjective because under normal condition with polyester resin you would apply 20ml per 1kg. But this product is used in very small quantities (5grm at a time) so a small dribble of catalyst would need to be used. Hope this helps.
Is the cured resin ok with diesel fuel. I need to seal the inside of a steel tank which will be very thoroughly cleaned. I anticipate 3 days curing in warm environment. Many thanks
Hi Simon. So sorry this has taken so long to answer. Please do not use general purpose as this will erode in ni time at all. The product you need is RTS 3000 as this is a proper tank sealer.
Hi is this plastic spheres or glass?
Hi Daniel. Fillite is like a fine powder but cures really hard. Spheres or glass is West 409.
I have a hollow Glass fibre spoiler- that needs more rigidity, having read up - 2 part high density foam sounds if it would help. But, how much to pour in, would it split the spoiler, do I need a large escape vent hole to ensure no warping ? , thanks DC
Hi Dale. Yes this needs an escape hole and the calculation is every 1kg mix is 1 x cubic foot.
Does the value 5kg resin come with catalyst and any measuring syringe...for accurate mix?
Hi Yagesh. Yes it does come with a catalyst but no syringe.
Can you mix a colour match if I send in a chip of my gelcoat? Closest colour on RAL chart is 5018 turquoise blue but it isn’t that close. Also looking for Scott Bader 337 white
Hi Dean. Please send in a well polished sample at approx 2" and we will get it checked. Scott Bader 337 is a stock item.
