Hi John.
The usage is dependant on the surface being coated and whether it is sealed first of not.
On sealed ply wood the coverage will be approx 400grm per metre square.

Hello Keith. Gelcoat filler is subjective because under normal condition with polyester resin you would apply 20ml per 1kg. But this product is used in very small quantities (5grm at a time) so a small dribble of catalyst would need to be used.

Hi Simon. So sorry this has taken so long to answer. Please do not use general purpose as this will erode in ni time at all. The product you need is RTS 3000 as this is a proper tank sealer.

I have a hollow Glass fibre spoiler- that needs more rigidity, having read up - 2 part high density foam sounds if it would help. But, how much to pour in, would it split the spoiler, do I need a large escape vent hole to ensure no warping ? , thanks DC

Yes this needs an escape hole and the calculation is every 1kg mix is 1 x cubic foot.
Does the value 5kg resin come with catalyst and any measuring syringe...for accurate mix?

Our fisherman use these containers for their fish products so i am confident they are food safe. The dimensions are:- Diam 37cm / Ht 32cm. No certifications are issued for the food safty standard of this product.

Hi Jordan. The beads are a silicone product suspended within a topcoat product. Unsure of the dimensions of the beads.
I want to use this filler to fill some screw holes and gouges up to 5mm deep on a vertical surface but it's too runny. Is there a way of thickening it?

I would first fill the holes with a strong body filler leaving about 2mm the replace the gelcoat. Gelcoat, if applied too thick is prone to cracking.

I would suspect a strong fabric adhesive would be more suitable than PU adhesive.

Hi Peter.
The only calculation you will need is every 1kg of resin you need 20ml of catalyst. This is 2% catalyst ratio. The hotter it is the less catalyst is required. Average is 16-21% heat for the material to cure.

Will the product stick ceramic? (I have a very large plant pot). How long is the mixed product workable? I estimate/guess the surface area of the joint to be about 60 square inches each side. Will I need a filler to ensre proper contact?

Unfortunately ceramic comes in a few different densities so it would be a trial to see if this would work. Sorry i can't be of any further help.

Hi Bob. So sorry this has been missed but with holidays and short staff we have struggled.
OSB 3 T&G can be purchased from any good builders yard. It is not advised to get it from our transport as they will charge double pallet rate because of the size of the boards.

You should get at least a year and a half from our supply. should the resin crystalise then place the whole container in hot water with the lid off for about twenty mins. This will return the resin to a liquid state.

Dependant on the repair required, you can also use 300grm Woven Roven, Biax 600grm, 600grm Woven but generally 200grm plain or Twill weave is a subtable material to do repairs. If you need a more detailed explanation please ring the branch and ask for Paul, i will be happy to help.

Hi Mary. A 5kg bottle is about a gallon. We supply syringes 10ml,20ml,50ml and so on. 1% is 10ml per kg. We can deliver to where ever you want.

The product will tell you if it is a mtr or 1.25 mtr wide. You are correct in your measurements. Usually it is calculated in Linear meters.

Yes it will work on a polyester composite sink with good mechanical abrasion, acetone wiping and the correct rienforcement.
Can RTV Silicone rubber be made softer by reducing part B to 8%
Hi Ian. It is not advised to reduce the catalyst ratio as it may have an effect on the cure. This material is designed to work and have a shear hardness at the correct ratio's.
