These 450g kits are ideal for garage roofs, outbuilding roofs, sheds, garden cabins, offices, man caves and more. Available in a range of different sizes from 1m² - 100m² at Fibreglass Supplies Ltd.
These GRP Fibreglass Roof Kits are supplied with everything needed to cover the area required with 1 layer of 450gm² glass fibre mat and 1 layer of dark grey topcoat. A "450g" GRP fibreglass roofing kit means that the weight of the fibreglass matting included per square metre is 450g. The heavier the matting the stronger the roof is.
Fibreglass is the ideal material for weatherproofing flat roofs laid with plywood, OSB (Oriented Strand Board) or HDF (High Density Fiberboard). The preferred substrate is OSB3 (Oriented Strand Board grade 3), a type of strong, durable, engineered wood panel that's suitable for load-bearing applications in humid conditions.
This Kit Contains: Polyester Resin (60kg), Grey Topcoat (28kg), 52 Square Metres of 450g Chopped Strand Mat, Catalyst (hardener 2.2kg), 1x Large Paddle Roller (225mm x 40mm), 1x Small Paddle Roller (140mm x 21mm), 1x 7 Inch Roller Handle, 4x 7 Inch Resin Rollers, 2x 7 Inch Topcoat Roller, 4x 10 Litre Mixing Buckets, 3x Plastic Stirrers, Full Box of Latex Gloves, 2x 2 Inch Brushes, 2x Extension Pole Handles.
We supply an additional 10% in all our kits to make sure you always have enough material to successfully complete your project.
We use the Crystic Roof range of products from Scott Bader in all our Roof Kits, ensuring industry leading materials, manufactured in the UK for your peace of mind.
Please note, a roof constructed in 450g matting is not suitable for balconies or walking on frequently. If you are unsure which weight of kit is right for your project, please give us a call.
